Learn how to keep children safe in education and other settings with the Safeguarding Children Level 1 and 2 course.

The course guides you the strategies and approaches for keeping the children safe. You will learn the key principles in safeguarding along with the necessity of safeguarding. The course shows you the awareness of the Human Rights of Children – The United Nation’s Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). You will understand what does it really means by safeguarding. Additionally, the course discusses the common terms used in safeguarding children and helps you to understand the complex nature of child abuse. You will know the awareness of key safeguarding children legislation.

Apart from these, the course illustrates the ‘Toxic Trio’ in relation to safeguarding children and explains how to raise awareness about the main types of abuse in children and young people and the dangers of radicalization of children and young people. You will explore your responsibilities in protecting children and young adults from abuse.

Finally, you will explore the dangers of child trafficking and able to create awareness among the parents and other people in the society.

Upon conclusion of the course, there’s an online multiple-choice quiz assessment, which will determine whether you have passed the course. The test is marked immediately and results are published instantly (60% pass mark).
